A New Voyage

The Davis County Symphony is an all volunteer organization open to each and every musician 9th grade and older.

Mission

The Davis County Symphony has been formed with a vision that those who join will feel the “Spirit of Community”.  The symphony creates an environment for those who participate whereby they can strive to engage, serve and inspire, as well as enhance their artistic lives and musical growth.  It also provides a venue to share diverse talents and ideas and the opportunity to give back to the community through music and service as we create a feeling of family.

Rehearsals

The Davis County Symphony will hold rehearsals on Thursdays at Centerville Jr High 625 S Main, Centerville Utah. Please enter in the east door (back side of the school). Rehearsal will be from 6:30 pm to 8:50 pm. We are working on Messiah and the musical Wonderful Town.

Upcoming 2011 Events

  • Annual Halloween Concert & Indoor Trick-or-treating!   Saturday October 15, 2011 7:00pm Free Admission

The Davis County Symphony with Music Director Marie Crockett and Assistant Music Director Shaun Davis will present their annual Halloween Concert. The performance will be held at Centerville Jr High , 625 South Main, Centerville, on Saturday October 15, 2011 at 7:00 pm. Dress up in your favorite costume and join the symphony as they perform an evening of spooktacular Halloween music followed by indoor trick-or-treating! This fun-filled performance includes The Addams Family, Beetlejuice, The Phantom of the Opera and many more Halloween favorites! The symphony will also feature Danse Macabre by Saint-Saens with violin soloist Marie Crockett and Pirates of the Caribbean with Guest Conductor Ted Zalkind. Admission is free!

  • Annual Messiah Audience Sing-in Thursday December 22, 2011 7:00pm Free Admission

Come join us for our Annual Messiah Sing -in! We will be using the G. Shirmer edition, so if you have your own copy, please bring it. We will also have copies available at the performance! The performance will be held at the Center Street LDS Cultural Hall 261 E Center Street, North Salt Lake, 84054.
